Endangered is the fifteenth Joe Picket novel by C. J. Box. Joe is a game warden who manages to find danger and death across the state of Wyoming. In this episode, his daughter is severely beaten and left in a coma. Joe searches for the perpetrator while solving the case of slaughtered sage grouse. He also hunts the people who shoot his friend Nate Romanowski and kidnap Nate’s girlfriend. The book has unexpected twists and a surprise ending.
