The Centenarian
My mother, May Hunter (Cookie) Cromartie celebrated her one hundredth birthday on Nov 17. She is the first centenarian recorded in my family to my knowledge. Does any one else know of other Cromarties to reach 100?

My Grandmother Rosa B. Cromartie Rewis lived to be 103. She died in Davenport Florida. Oct. 13, 1992. She was born January 23, 1889. Buried in Shingle Creek Cemetery. Her Father was Preston Grier Cromartie 1858-1925 buried in Shingle Creek Cemetery, Kissimmee, FL. He was born in Bladen County, NC.
Hi Harriet: Preston J G Cromartie who died in 1925 and was buried in Shingle Creek Cemetery was the son of James William Cromartie (born Jan 20, 1820 in Bladen County, N.C.) and Jane Colvin. James William was the son of James Cromartie and Katherine Taylor. James was the eldest son of William Cromartie and Ruhamah Doane.
